My body hurts, but the good kind of “getting stronger” hurt. Yesterday was the most time I’ve spent in the water surfing in a very long time, maybe ever?
Usually my sessions on trips out to RI are 1-2 hours. Yesterday we totaled over 4 hours of surfing. About 75% of that was just paddling around, so my shoulders, neck, and back are feeling it.
On top of that, I’ve just been generally tired today from the driving. Again, the good kind of “accomplished something awesome” tired.
So I had no qualms with taking a nice, easy cruise around the block on my longboard this afternoon. The weather felt like fall for the first time and I loved it.
The breeze I caught while coasting down the slight hill I live on was just delightful.
