We met up with my parents for the first time since before the pandemic stay-at-home measures went into place. It was great to see them and their new pup, I was also pumped that my dad dug my old longboard out of the basement for me.
I made the deck something like 8 or 9 years ago. Just cut it out of an old board laying around my dad’s garage. Stained it, painted it, and threw some hardware on it. It is obnoxiously long, and I’m happy to have it back in my quiver.
When we got back home I took it for a cruise around the neighborhood and it was so nice. I had forgotten how smooth the ride is on softer (78a) wheels, which got me excited for the slime balls to come in for my surfskate… I pulled the trigger on that order a couple days ago.
